El Spirit

From 1976 to 1977, Editora de Periódicos, S. C. L. "La Prensa" published El Spirit, a 28-issue Spanish-language comic series that reprinted the classic adventures of Will Eisner's iconic detective. The series is a testament to the global reach of Eisner's work, showcasing his pioneering storytelling and expressive art for a new audience in Mexico. Though a reprint series, El Spirit matters as a key example of how Eisner's influential creation was disseminated and celebrated internationally during the Bronze Age of comics.
