El Señor de los Anillos

A Spanish comic-book adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, this three-issue series was published by Toutain Editor from 1979 to 1980. It is most closely associated with the work of writer and artist Antonio Hernández Palacios, whose detailed, epic style brought the quest of the Ring to life in a distinctive European comics tradition. Though brief, the series remains a notable early graphic-novel treatment of the classic fantasy saga.
