El Hombre Lobo: Werewolf

In the mid-1970s, Spanish publisher Ediciones Vértice brought the classic monster to the stands with El Hombre Lobo: Werewolf, a 19-issue series that ran from 1974 to 1976. Artist Jay Scott Pike was the most frequent visual hand on the title, lending his style to this Spanish-language take on the lycanthropic horror. While the series draws on familiar werewolf lore, it stands as a distinctive piece of European comics history, showcasing how American-style monster comics were adapted for a new audience.
