El Ciclón

El Ciclón, launched by Editorial Marco in 1946, is a landmark of Mexican comics, running for 14 issues. The series is primarily associated with its creator, writer and artist Gabriel Vargas, who brought a distinctive, energetic visual style to the adventures of its titular hero. As one of the earliest superheroes in Mexican comics, El Ciclón helped establish the template for the country's action-adventure genre, blending pulp heroics with local flair. Its influence endures as a foundational work in the history of Latin American sequential art.
