East Coast Rising

Pirate gangs clash in a post-apocalyptic world where the East Coast of America has become a flooded archipelago. Launched by Tokyopop in 2006, this original series was written and drawn entirely by Becky Cloonan, whose distinctive, moody art style brings a gritty, punk-rock energy to the high-seas adventure. Though only a single issue was published, it stands as a striking early showcase of Cloonan’s singular voice as both a writer and artist.
