About the series
Over three decades and 32 issues, IPC’s Eagle Annual collected the best of the iconic weekly comic into sturdy hardback volumes, each packed with reprints and original material. Regular contributors like Alan Jason, George Beardmore, and the versatile George Lane (who also drew extensively) kept the tone adventurous and patriotic, while artists Gerry Embleton and Keith Page brought crisp, dramatic visuals to the annual’s mix of space heroes, war stories, and serialized thrillers. As a companion to the legendary Eagle weekly, this series preserved the spirit of British comics for a new generation each year.
