Dunc and Loo
Dell · 1962–1963 · 5 issues
About the series
Dell’s Dunc and Loo ran for five issues from 1962 to 1963, a short-lived comic series built around the slapstick misadventures of its two title characters. Written primarily by John Stanley and drawn by Bill Williams, it offered the kind of brisk, character-driven humor that Stanley was known for during his prolific Dell period. Though it didn’t last long, it’s a neat snapshot of early-1960s funny-animal and gag-comic storytelling from one of the era’s most reliable creative teams.
