About the series
Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri's Druuna (1990–2003) is a landmark erotic science-fantasy series from Italy's Bagheera imprint, following the amnesiac, voluptuous Druuna through a decaying, post-apocalyptic world of monstrous mutations and rampant desire. Serpieri, the sole writer and artist across its eight-issue run, crafted a visually lush, painterly epic that blends body horror with explicit sensuality, exploring themes of survival, identity, and the corruption of flesh. Its lush, hyper-detailed art and unflinching adult themes made it a defining work of European comics' "adult" boom.
