In the mid-1990s, Malibu Comics revived Jim Starlin’s cosmic epic with a seven-issue series that followed Kalla Dreadstar, the daughter of the original hero, as she navigated a galaxy still scarred by the war between the Instrumentality and the Monarchy. Written by Peter David, Kara Lamb, and Shaun McLaughlin, with art by Ernie Colón and Walter Simonson, the story reunited familiar faces like the Lord High Papal, Skeevo, Cookie, Teuton, and Willow for a new generation of readers.
