About the series
From 1985 to 1987, AC Comics published Dragonfly, an eight-issue series that introduced a new superheroine to the independent comics scene. Written primarily by Rik Levins and Wes Covington, with Levins also serving as the series' most frequent artist, the book followed the adventures of the titular heroine alongside a cast that included Nancy Arazello, Ken Burton, Jane Randall, Liette Etranger, and the enigmatic Psiborg. A product of the mid-1980s direct market boom, Dragonfly stands as a modest but fondly remembered example of the era's creator-driven, small-press superhero storytelling.
