From 1985 to 1997, the Norwegian publisher Hjemmet/Egmont released Donald Duck & Co Ekstra as a bonus supplement to the main Donald Duck & Co magazine. Spanning 79 issues, this series primarily reprinted classic adventures by Carl Barks and Al Taliaferro, alongside newer stories by European artists like Vicar. Writers Vivi Aagaard and Helene C. Kløvstad contributed to the mix, while the core Duck family—Donald, his nephews Ole, Dole, and Doffen—remained the focus. It offered Norwegian readers a deeper dive into the beloved duck universe, making it a cherished companion to the flagship title.
