In Djeliya, TKO Studios launched a singular, self-contained graphic novel in 2021 that reimagines West African folklore through a fantastical, post-apocalyptic lens. Written and illustrated by Juni Ba, the story follows a prince and his griot as they journey to confront a mysterious wizard who has stolen the world’s stories. This debut earned Ba a nomination for the Eisner Award for Best Writer/Artist, marking a bold, culturally distinct entry in modern comics.
