Die großen Comic-Abenteuer

A short-lived, four-issue German comic series from Egmont Ehapa (1981–1982), Die großen Comic-Abenteuer presented classic adventure tales in comic form. With scripts by Bill Mantlo, Chris Claremont, and H. G. Wells, and art by Dino Castrillo, Jess Jodloman, and Yong Montaño, the series adapted literary and genre stories for a young audience. Its brief run offers a curious snapshot of early-80s European licensed publishing, pairing American comic talent with German-language editions.
