About the series
In the mid-1970s, German publisher BSV - Williams produced a 12-issue run of Die Grüne Laterne, bringing the cosmic adventures of the Green Lantern to a new audience. The series drew primarily on stories written by John Broome and Jani Büsing, with the dynamic, iconic artwork of Gil Kane defining the look of the Emerald Crusader. This short-lived but visually striking series stands as a notable example of how DC's classic Silver Age superheroes were translated and localized for the European market.
