About the series
In 2013, DC Comics revived its classic concept with Dial H, a two-issue series written by China Miéville. David Lapham and Mateus Santolouco brought the story to life, following an ordinary person who discovers a mysterious rotary phone that grants them superpowers by dialing H-E-R-O. This brief but inventive run reimagined the premise with Miéville's signature literary sensibility, offering a dark, surreal take on the idea of random heroism.
