Detective Comics

From 1959 to 1961, Mimosa Comics published just seven issues of Detective Comics, a self-contained mystery and crime anthology series. While the title evokes a classic DC Comics name, this short-lived run stands on its own as a distinct, mid-century independent effort, featuring a rotating cast of detectives and noir-tinged tales. The series is primarily remembered for its striking, moody cover art by uncredited house artists of the era, offering a compact snapshot of the genre's pulp roots outside the major publishers.
