In the late 1960s, the Danish publisher I.K. (Illustrerede Klassikere) launched Det ny børneblad. Pellefant & Co., a 33-issue comic series that introduced young readers to the gentle, elephant-like character Pellefant and his friends. Running from 1967 to 1970, this magazine-format series blended charming, family-friendly adventure with the classic illustrative style that defined I.K.'s output. It stands as a fondly remembered, distinctly Danish entry in the era’s children’s comics landscape.
