Der Schwarze Kanal

A satirical German comic series launched in 1992 by Egmont Ehapa, Der Schwarze Kanal (The Black Channel) takes its name from a notorious East German television propaganda program, repurposing it for pointed, often darkly humorous commentary on contemporary politics and media. Though its single issue run was brief, the series drew on the talents of celebrated French writer-artist teams Jean-Claude Mézières and Pierre Christin, alongside German collaborator Ludwig Webel, with art by Hugues Labiano and Philippe Chapelle.
