Der Schnüffler

A German comic series from Carlsen Comics, Der Schnüffler adapts French crime writer Jean-Patrick Manchette's hardboiled novel Le Petit Bleu de la Côte Ouest, with Jacques Tardi providing the gritty, expressive artwork. Translating and adapting the story for German readers, Wiebke Besson collaborated on the script, capturing the tense, paranoid atmosphere of a man on the run. Though only a single issue was released in 1982, it stands as a notable European graphic-novel adaptation of a classic polar, showcasing Tardi's signature style and Manchette's sharp, cynical storytelling.
