About the series
The long-running German comic strip Der kleine König (The Little King) began its run with Rowohlt in 1978, collecting the wordless, single-panel gags originally created by American cartoonist Otto Soglow. Known for its minimalist, charming art and the silent, regal antics of its titular monarch, the series is a beloved example of international comics publishing, bringing Soglow's classic work to a new audience across decades.
