Der Junker von Ballantrae

In 2022, German publisher Schreiber & Leser launched Der Junker von Ballantrae, a single-issue comic adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel of adventure and betrayal. The story follows a young Scottish nobleman caught between loyalty and vengeance after his father’s murder, set against a backdrop of Jacobite intrigue. While the creative team is not widely known outside the German market, this release marks a faithful, standalone graphic novel treatment of a literary adventure tale.
