A long-running German adaptation of Alexandre Dumas's classic revenge novel, this series from Gerstmayer was written and drawn by Helmut Nickel across its twelve-issue run beginning in 1954. Nickel's sequential art brings the tale of Edmond Dantès's imprisonment, escape, and calculated vengeance to life in a compact yet faithful comic format.
