Dennis the Menace Pocket Full of Fun
Hallden; Fawcett · 1969–1980 · 50 issues
About the series
From 1969 to 1980, Hallden and Fawcett published Dennis the Menace Pocket Full of Fun, a 50-issue comic series that offered compact, punchy adventures starring the irrepressible Dennis Mitchell. Anchored by the work of Fred Toole (writing under Hank Ketcham’s name) and artists Owen Fitzgerald and Al Wiseman, the series captured the classic suburban mischief of Dennis, his long-suffering dad Henry, and his neighbor Martha Wilson, with occasional visits from Santa Claus and his dog Ruff. A digest-sized spin-off of the main Dennis the Menace comic, it packed the same timeless, gentle humor into a portable format that kids could take anywhere.
