In 1995 and 1996, Hjemmet/Egmont published an eight-issue Danish comic adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Little Mermaid," with artwork by Vaccaro Associates, Inc. This series offers a unique, illustrated take on the classic fairy tale, distinct from the more famous animated version, and stands as a notable European comic interpretation of the beloved story.
