Demian

A dark, psychological fantasy from the small press Libellus, Demian ran for nine issues between 2007 and 2009, exploring themes of identity and inner conflict through a surreal, allegorical lens. The series is most closely associated with its creator, who wove a haunting narrative around a protagonist grappling with a mysterious, almost mythic double. Its moody, expressionistic art and literary ambition set it apart from more conventional genre comics of the era.
