Deathblow / Wolverine

In this 1996–1997 crossover from Image's Wildstorm and Marvel, the gritty mercenary Michael Cray (Deathblow) crosses paths with the savage mutant Logan (Wolverine) across two issues. Aron Wiesenfeld, who wrote and illustrated the series alongside co-writer Ivan Zaidman, brings a moody, painted aesthetic to this short but intense meeting of two very different killers. It's a compact, era-defining team-up that bridges the early Image universe with Marvel's X-Men corner.
