De Vrije Balloen

In 1975 and 1976, the Dutch publisher De Vrije Balloen released just four issues of this short-lived, eclectic comic series. Showcasing the work of writers Patty Klein, Andries Brandt, and Buis alongside artists Thé Tjong-Khing and Jan Steeman, the series offered a brief but distinctive glimpse into the Dutch comics scene of the mid-1970s. Its limited run makes it a curious footnote for collectors of European underground and alternative comics.
