De Vergelders

From 1979 to 1980, Dutch publisher Juniorpress collected stories from Marvel's The Avengers and related titles in De Vergelders, a 10-issue series that brought Earth's Mightiest Heroes to a new audience. The run featured the work of key Marvel talents like David Michelinie and Jim Shooter as writers, with art by John Byrne, Russ Manning, and Klaus Janson, among others. This series matters as a snapshot of the era's cosmic and team-driven adventures, translated for European readers who might otherwise have missed the original English-language comics.
