A lighthearted Dutch-language comic series from Standaard Uitgeverij, De lustige lezers (2008–present) playfully riffs on the concept of reading itself, with a short run of three issues featuring the talents of Martin Lodewijk, Merho, and Willy Vandersteen as writers, and Claus, Merho, and Vandersteen on art. It’s a niche, whimsical project that brings together notable Flemish comics creators for a self-aware celebration of storytelling.
