De kleine boze wolf

Oberon · 1977–1982 · 12 issues
About the series

In the late 1970s, Oberon published De kleine boze wolf, a Dutch comic series running for twelve issues from 1977 to 1982. This series reimagined classic fairy-tale antagonists, centering on Midas Wolf and his son Wolfje Wolf, alongside familiar figures like Broer Konijn and the three pig brothers Knor, Knir, and Knar. The stories were most frequently crafted by a trio of Dutch comics talents—Gil Turner, Daan Jippes, and Dick Matena—with American artist Paul Murry also contributing art. A warm, playful take on the "Big Bad Wolf" mythos, it stands as a charming example of European comics adapting Disney-inspired animal characters.
