In 2014–2015, Dark Dragon Books collected the earliest, formative years of Mickey Mouse newspaper strips in De gouden jaren van Mickey Mouse, a three-issue series reprinting work from the 1930s. These strips, plotted by Floyd Gottfredson and Bill Walsh with scripts from Ted Osborne, showcase the iconic art of Gottfredson and Manuel Gonzales. The series preserves the energetic, gag-driven adventure that defined Mickey's golden age, offering Dutch readers a curated look at the character's foundational newspaper run.
