De avonturen van Julius Chancer

In the long-running Dutch series De avonturen van Julius Chancer (2010–present), Silvester publishes the elegantly crafted adventures of its titular hero, a gentleman explorer whose globe-trotting exploits are steeped in a timeless, Jules Verne-inspired atmosphere. The series is most closely associated with its creator, who writes and draws each installment as a lush, album-style comic. Though only three issues have appeared so far, the books are prized for their meticulous linework and old-fashioned storytelling charm.
