Dark Angel

Boneyard Press published three issues of Dark Angel beginning in 1991, a short-lived series that introduced a distinctive, grim superheroine to the early-'90s indie comics landscape. The title is most associated with creator and writer/artist David W. Mack, whose moody, atmospheric art and dark fantasy storytelling defined the book. Though its initial run was brief, Dark Angel later became a cult touchstone for fans of Mack's work, showcasing the brooding, supernatural-tinged aesthetic that would inform his later, more famous creations.
