Cronica Negra

A gritty, 11-issue crime anthology from the late 1970s, Crónica Negra was published by the short-lived Spanish imprint Mercocomic. The series specialized in hard-boiled, noir-tinged stories of murder, corruption, and urban decay, drawing on the tradition of Spanish black-and-white comics. Though largely obscure today, it stands as a notable artifact of the post-Franco era, when Spanish comics were experimenting with more mature, transgressive themes.
