In 1984, De Harmonie published the first—and to date, only—issue of Cowboy Henk: ‘t Gekuifde kunstwerk, a standalone comic by the singular Belgian artist Herr Seele. This absurdist, deadpan one-shot distills the surreal, often nonsensical humor that would define the long-running Cowboy Henk strip, serving as an early, concentrated blast of the character’s bizarre, deadpan world.
