About the series
In 2015, DC’s Convergence event brought a two-issue spotlight to the Marvel Family, written by Jeff Parker with art by Evan "Doc" Shaner. This mini-series reunited Billy Batson, Captain Marvel, Freddy Freeman, and the Golden Age heroes Bulletman and Bulletgirl in a standalone adventure that celebrated the classic, heartfelt tone of the original Captain Marvel stories. For fans of the Big Red Cheese, it’s a warm, visually crisp return to the character’s pre-Crisis roots.
