A gritty crime series from Slave Labor Graphics, Contraband launched in 2008 with a single issue. The story centers on a heist gone wrong, exploring the dangerous world of stolen goods and the desperate people who traffic them. Though brief, the series offers a tight, noir-infused snapshot of the publisher's willingness to tackle hard-boiled, character-driven crime fiction outside the superhero mainstream.
