Contemporary Pictorial Literature

From 1973 to 1975, CPL/GANG Publications released ten issues of Contemporary Pictorial Literature, a short-lived but notable comic series that showcased an eclectic mix of rising talent. Writer Roger Stern, alongside artists including John Byrne, Don Maitz, and Syd Shores, contributed to a book that bridged underground and mainstream sensibilities. Its brief run is remembered as an early proving ground for creators who would go on to shape the industry.
