In 1999, DC Comics revived its Golden Age jungle adventurer for a gritty, four-issue miniseries written by Scott Cunningham and illustrated by Danijel Žeželj. This modern take strips away the camp, plunging Congo Bill into a dark, psychological exploration of the wild and the savagery within civilization itself.
