In the mid-1950s, DC Comics gave the globe-trotting jungle hero Congo Bill his own short-lived series, a seven-issue run that expanded on his adventures from Action Comics. Crafted by a team including writers George Kashdan and Jack Schiff, with art from Nick Cardy and Win Mortimer, the book sent its white hunter protagonist through a mix of exotic perils and wildlife encounters.
