Congo

In the early days of Canadian comics, Bell Features launched Congo (1949–1952), a short-lived but visually striking series that ran for just three issues. The book was primarily illustrated by the prolific Iger Shop and a young Joe Orlando, whose dynamic artwork brought a raw energy to its jungle-adventure tales. Though brief, Congo stands as a curious artifact of the post-war Canadian comic scene, showcasing the workhouse studio system and a future master before his rise at EC Comics.
