Conan Barbar

In the early 1990s, Semic-Slovart brought Robert E. Howard's iconic Cimmerian to Czech and Slovak readers with Conan Barbar, a seven-issue series that adapted the savage adventures of the sword-wielding warrior. Published during the post-Communist boom in translated comics, this run introduced a generation to Conan's brutal Hyborian Age exploits through a mix of classic Marvel stories and local reprints. Though brief, the series stands as a key cultural artifact of the era, showcasing how European publishers localized American comic book heroes for new audiences.
