Comics' Greatest World: Monster

In 1993, Dark Horse Comics launched the ambitious Comics' Greatest World line of superhero titles, and Monster was the one-shot that introduced a hulking, tragic creature to that shared universe. Written by Mike Richardson with art by Lee Weeks, this single issue established a brooding, sci-fi-tinged origin for its monstrous protagonist. Though brief, it laid the foundation for a character who would endure as a dark-horse fan favorite through later appearances and miniseries.
