Comic Crimes

A short-lived but emblematic Canadian comic from the postwar era, Comic Crimes ran for only two issues in 1946 under the Bell Features banner. Primarily illustrated by Paul Gattuso, the series offered a gritty snapshot of the country's homegrown crime-comics boom, reflecting the pulp sensibilities that dominated newsstands before the industry's mid-century moral panic.
