From 1996 to 2004, Semic S.A.'s Collection Image served as a French-language anthology spotlighting the publisher's most celebrated titles, with a heavy focus on the gritty, super-powered world of Erik Larsen's Savage Dragon—whose protagonist, Dragon, was a recurring headliner. The series drew from a deep bench of Image Comics talent, including frequent contributions from Alan Moore, Dale Keown, and Marc Silvestri, alongside the moody, atmospheric work of writer-artist Aron Wiesenfeld. Over nineteen issues, it offered French readers a curated, often stylish window into the early Image era's blend of bombastic action and creator-driven storytelling.
