About the series
In the late 1960s, the Dutch publisher Vanderhout launched Collectie Jong Europa (1967–1968), a 12-issue series that assembled a rotating cast of European comic talent. Writers Yves Duval, Greg, and Mittéï collaborated with artists Maurice Maréchal, Tibet, and Greg to deliver a diverse mix of adventure and humor stories. The series served as a showcase for the emerging continental style, bridging Flemish and French-language comics for a young audience. Its brief run captures a transitional moment in European comics, where classic ligne claire storytelling met a new, more dynamic energy.
