Collectie Detective Comics

From 1989 to 1993, the Belgian publisher Lefrancq released Collectie Detective Comics, a 25-issue series that adapted classic mystery and adventure tales into comic form. The run drew heavily from the work of Maurice Leblanc, particularly his Arsène Lupin stories, with André-Paul Duchâteau providing the majority of the scripts. Artists Jacques Géron and Xavier Musquera brought these narratives to life, making the series a notable European homage to literary detective fiction. It stands as a distinctive, creator-driven anthology that bridged pulp-era sensibilities with the Franco-Belgian comic tradition.
