From 1974 to 1976, the Italian publisher Club Anni Trenta revived the classic newspaper strip hero Bob Star for the Collana Grandi Avventure series, collecting 21 issues of his globe-trotting, sci-fi-tinged adventures. Most closely associated with writer-artist Will Gould, who originally created the character, the series also featured contributions from writer Silvano Scotto. This reprint run matters as a key archival effort, preserving Gould's dynamic, pulpy artwork and the character's unique blend of aviation heroics and futuristic intrigue for a new generation of European readers.
