In the mid-1960s, Editorial Rollán, S.A. published Colección Romance, a 34-issue Spanish comic series that distilled classic love stories into accessible, emotionally charged vignettes. The series is most associated with the clean, expressive linework of artists Carlos Prunés, Carrillo, and C. Levi, who defined its romantic visual language. As a romance anthology, it captured the sentimental pop culture of its era, offering a snapshot of the genre's popularity in Spain before the close of the decade.
