Classic Comics, published by Ayers & James, ran for 20 issues from 1947 to 1949, adapting classic literature into comic book form. This series helped pioneer the educational-comics genre, bringing stories like The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo to a new generation of readers. Though short-lived, it set a template for later, more famous literary comic adaptations.
